Australopithecus Sedipa.
A relatively recent discovery, Australopithecus Sedipa has been hypothesized by some to be a transitional species between Australopithecus and the Homo genus (early modern humans).
However this claim has been debated and criticized due to lack of concrete fossil evidence, and issues with its placement in the evolutionary timeline in relation to possibly older fossils already linked to the Homo genus.
Its a lovely skull regardless.
